Grade 3 #NorthsideStJ students were busy "buzzin about books" this week. Students that finish a book share why they liked the story and why their classmates should read the book.
#NorthsideStJ students held bus and pedestrian safety today, to discuss safe strategies when riding a bus and walking to and from school.

#NorthsideStJ Grade 3 students in Mrs. Friesen's class took part in a Tableau today as part of their Module 0, Wit amd Wisdom lesson. In a Tableau, students create a "still picture" to capture a moment from an event in a story.
Grade 5 #NorthsideStJ students in Mrs. Kauffmann's class working on morphemes, identifying the base word, along with identifying any prefixes or suffixes during their Functional Morphology lesson.
#NorthsideStJ 5th Grade students in Mrs. Kauffmann's Class using their critical thinking skills to "Save Fred".
K-5 #NorthsideStJ students learned about the Saints Power (PBIS) expectations for an assembly, playground, office, and cafeteria this week.

The first day of school is in the books for #NorthsideStJ. It was great to see hallways full of smiles and classrooms full of students and teachers building relationships to kick off the year!

Today is new teacher orientation for St. James Public Schools teachers.
It was the final day for our Kindergarten Jumpstart for our 102 #NorthsideStJ class of 2037 students. We are excited to see each of you back on the first day of school.
